Hi Guys! If you follow me on Instagram (@whiteandbeige_), you’d know that I was whippin’ up some guacamole on Sunday. I could eat guacamole for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have been fiddling around with ingredients to figure out how to make the most delicious quac ever!
My inspo not only came from my love for avocados but from a woman that I met in the laundry mat. She was trying to find a quick, easy and cost effective recipe to bring to a Fourth of July cookout. I suggested guacamole and shared my recipe with her and now I want to share it with you all 🙂
Here are a list of ingredients that you’ll need (bare in mind that this recipe feeds about 3 people. I would increase the recipe by 1 avocado and 1/4 of everything else per every 2 additional people)
- 2 avocados (softened so they’re easy to cut and scoop)
- 1 red onion
- 1 large tomato
- 1 lime
First, cut your avocados in half and split them open.
Remove the pits and slice them into cubes, then scoop out into a bowl.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. I personally go light on the salt because I’m not a huge salt fan and go heavier on the pepper. Take a quarter spoons worth of garlic (or more, depending on personal preference) and add it to the mix.
Chop up one large tomato into fine squares and add it to the mix.
Chop up a quarter of your red onion in fine pieces and add it to the mix.
Now, the most important part to this entire recipe is the lime! It adds so much flavor and compliments the sharp flavors of garlic and onion nicely. Cut an entire lime into slices then into halves and generously squeeze the lime juice throughout the entire bowl.
Onto the fun part! Once everything is combined into a bowl, use a fork or a spoon and mash everything together. I like to leave my avocados a bit chunky but feel free to keep mixing until your satisfied. Once everything was all blended, I garnished with some chives and used an ice cream scooper to put it nicely on a plate and served with cucumber dill lentil chips!
This is one of the most satisfying and easiest recipes I can think of and a great dish to bring to a summer cookout. I encourage you to try this and please tag me in any pictures you post about it (@whiteandbeige_), I’d love to see how it came out!!
Happy summer eating,
